A Wedding the second time around!

Hello, my name is Maria and I am getting married this year! Saying that, sends a thrill through me cus i am dead excited by the prospect. But I am not a young girl doing it for the first time. I'm a 39 year old widow with three teenage kids and I am going to do it all over again.

Last February I was lucky enough to find myself an elligable batchelor, who makes me laugh and chills my stressy fits, what more can a girl want? And believe me, where I live in darkest rural france, finding a single, good-looking, intelligent bloke is not easy. Finding one thats so compatable with me was even more of a mind field, but all those that know Christopher and I, will say that we fit together like curry and chips!!!!

Then of course Christopher had to impress my kids. Ben is 18, Robyn 16 and Annie a cheeky 12. Ben and Annie liked Chris on meeting him for the first time at a neighbours party. But Robyn is a cautious Pisces and took a while to weigh this new guy up. You wouldn't guess that now, as they lark about play fighting around the place.

So, as I have said, i will be getting wed August 22nd 2009. Just three months away. We are having a French civil wedding, followed by a spiritual blessing and then lots of fun and merriment at the reception!

So far all has gone smoothly. It took just one shopping trip in Guildford, England to find my dream, blood red dress, tres chic, and very red carpet! We have our venue booked, and we have an English caterer, that my French mother-in-law to be found for us. Another freind has booked the band for the evening celebrations. The invites have gone out, accomodation has been sought for my nearest and dearest coming from Blighty. And so far, fingers,toes and eyes securely crossed (Ouch!) all is going to plan.

Now that is a near miracle, cus I am not an organised person and my other-half-to-be is a typical man, leaves it to the woman to sort things out, unless specifically asked to do something! So watch this space for more updates as the Watson clan, merge with the Barry clan.

Welcome to our very first Mrs2Be Diarist!!

Lauren (MrsPalma2be) has recently become engaged and says that now she has finished Uni she can concentrate on planning her big day and making it as special as possible for her and her hubby2be!

Lauren hopes to get married in July 2010 in beautiful North Wales!
